  • It may be necessary to provide multi-lingual as well as picture-based instructions to overcome language and literacy barriers.

  • Effective outreach develops leaders from marginalized communities that can bridge cultural, communication, and trust divides

  • There is a role fro providing stipends to those leaders to respect the time they are providing

Achieving equitable outreach that truly empowers people in under-represented communities is challenging during the best of times.  Lack of internet access, computers, and unfamiliarity with technology makes that even more difficult when it isn't safe to have public meetings in person.  However, it is important to move forward with actions that help our communities recover and it is equally important that marginalized communities are included in what those actions are going to be.
